The University of Los Santos, San Andreas (ULSA) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Dean of Students in the Office of Student Affairs. The Office of Student Affairs is a pivotal department that is dedicated to enriching and supporting the overall student experience at ULSA. The office plays a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive campus environment that fosters student success, well-being, and personal growth.
The Student Life team, led by the Dean of Students, is a key component of the Office of Student Affairs. The team focuses on enhancing the non-academic aspects of student life and provides a wide range of programs, services, and activities that promote student engagement, leadership development, and community building. The team works collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to create a vibrant and holistic campus experience.
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Student Life team, promoting a vibrant and inclusive campus environment.
- Develop and implement policies and programs that foster student engagement, personal development, and well-being.
- Oversee the coordination of student activities, clubs, organizations, and events on campus.
- Collaborate with various university departments to address student concerns and promote a positive campus culture.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and regulations related to student conduct and discipline.
- Support and mentor student leaders, facilitating their growth and development.
- Serve as a resource for students, addressing their needs, concerns, and challenges.
- Foster strong relationships with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to promote a holistic student experience.
- Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- Extensive experience in student affairs, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of student development theories and best practices in student support services.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing student affairs in higher education.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and social justice on campus.
Please note that as this is an interim position, salary will be lower than displayed above. Subject to performance reviews and the current Dean of Health's employment status, the successful applicant may be successfully employed as the full Dean of Health.
