ULSA Athletics is committed to providing fair and equitable opportunities and treatment for all students and staff, including women and underrepresented or marginalized populations. Our objective is for all sports teams to compete at the national level. Our varsity teams bring home awards and trophies from the Pac-12 Conference every year. Recently, moving over to the Big Ten for another round of exciting challenges.
To support the development of the varsity scene and encourage participation in the name of diversity, inclusion, and fair play, ULSA Athletics offers grants to exceptional athletes. These grants provide an opportunity to prosper academically while still engaging with and representing ULSA in varsity athletics. The award is merit-based and covers tuition and On-Campus Housing.
Scholarship Process
ULSA Athletics is responsible for reviewing and granting athletic scholarships. ULSA Athletics is always out on the hunt for brewing talent. Scouting agents peruse social media, high schools, and local tournaments to assess skills and potential future champions.
You got noticed. Now what?
ULSA Athletics contacts talent via email and extends an athletic scholarship offer for the relevant sport.
ULSA Athletics will sit down with the talent and discuss the offer
ULSA Athletics will assess athletic performance and interview to ensure the candidate's vitality.
Talent is enrolled in the university and drafted into the team of the relevant sport.
Requirements & Maintaining Eligibility
Requirements Talents must have finished High School and have a GED or equivalent. Talents must be the minimum age of 18.
Maintaining Eligibility Athletic-Students must remain on the sport's official team roster throughout their enrollment. Being Removed from the team results in disqualification. Athletic-Students must maintain a clean record. Disciplinary actions are strongly discouraged—any offense beyond a written warning results in disqualification. Athletic students Athletic students must maintain a 2.9 GPA each semester. Athletic-Students Students must be full-time students. Part-time students are not eligible for ULSA Athletic Scholarships.
