The University of Los Santos, San Andreas (ULSA) is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Dean of Health. As Dean of Health, you will play a crucial role in overseeing one half of the Office of Student Affairs, specifically health services, and leading a team of medical staff including nurses and counselors on campus.
- Provide strategic leadership and management for health services within the Office of Student Affairs, overseeing the planning, development, and delivery of health programs and services to students.
- Supervise and mentor a team of medical staff, including nurses and counselors, ensuring high-quality care and support for students' health and well-being.
- Collaborate with the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and other university stakeholders to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols related to student health services.
- Provide guidance and expertise on health-related issues to students, faculty, and staff, promoting a healthy campus environment and addressing health concerns as needed.
- Oversee the budget and resources of the health services department, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with university policies and regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in health services and incorporate innovative approaches to improve student health outcomes and enhance the overall student experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
- Advanced degree in a health-related field, such as a Master's or Doctorate.
- Experience in a leadership role in a health services setting, preferably in a higher education or student affairs context.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in student health services.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and mentor a team of medical staff, and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Please note that as this is an interim position, salary will be lower than displayed above. Subject to performance reviews and the current Dean of Health's employment status, the successful applicant may be successfully employed as the full Dean of Health.
