POSITION: PERSONAL ASSISTANT — DEPARTMENT: OFFICE OF THE CHANCELLOR — SALARY: $50,000
 
 
INFORMATION:
 
The Office of the Chancellor is the top administrative office of the institution. The Chancellor is the chief executive officer of the institution and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of its operations, including academic affairs, financial management, fundraising, and community relations. The Office of the Chancellor plays a critical role in setting the strategic direction of the institution, working with other senior leaders to ensure that the university is meeting its goals and serving its students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders. The office is also responsible for managing the Chancellor's schedule, communications, and other administrative functions to support the effective operation of the university. The Office of the Chancellor is often seen as the public face of the institution, representing it to a wide range of audiences and engaging with stakeholders to advance its mission and goals.

The Personal Assistant to the Chancellor will provide high-level administrative and personal support to the Chancellor in managing the daily operations and affairs of the university. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chancellor to ensure that all tasks and responsibilities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the Chancellor's schedule, including scheduling appointments, arranging meetings, and organizing travel arrangements.
  • Act as a liaison between the Chancellor and other university staff, faculty, students, and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct research, gather data, and prepare reports, presentations, and other materials as required by the Chancellor.
  • Draft and prepare correspondence, including emails, letters, memos, and other documents on behalf of the Chancellor.
  • Maintain confidential and sensitive information related to the Chancellor's personal and professional affairs.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing incoming calls, responding to emails, and filing documents.
  • Manage the Chancellor's budget and expenses, including tracking expenditures and reconciling accounts.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of special events, such as board meetings, donor events, and other university events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chancellor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree(s) in Social Communications, Business Communications, Global Studies, or similar;
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate, and work with others effectively;
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential material with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
