POSITION: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR — DEPARTMENT: MULTIPLE — SALARY: $60,000
 
 
INFORMATION:
 
The University of Los Santos, San Andreas (ULSA) is seeking bright and dynamic individuals to join as Associate Professors in the departments of Medicine & Natural Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Technology & Engineering. As an Associate Professor at ULSA, you will be a senior faculty member who plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape of the university. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about teaching, engaging in research, and providing leadership in their field of expertise. You will be assigned to one of the two departments below.
  • The Department of Arts is a creative powerhouse, offering programs in fine arts, literature, anthropology, and more. This department cultivates critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness, preparing students for careers in arts, humanities, social sciences, and related fields.
  • The Department of Sciences represents the merger of Medicine & Natural Sciences and Technology & Engineering. This department offers diverse degree programs in fields like biology, engineering, chemistry, and healthcare sciences. It conducts groundbreaking research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and preparing students for careers in science, technology, engineering, and healthcare.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Delivering high-quality instruction in courses related to their field of expertise at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, inspiring students with innovative teaching methods and fostering their intellectual growth.
  • Engaging in cutting-edge research and scholarly activities, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in their field and making a meaningful impact on their discipline.
  • Mentoring and guiding students in their academic and career pursuits, instilling in them a lifelong love for learning and helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Participating in departmental and university-level committees and activities, actively contributing to the academic and administrative functions of the department and the university as a whole.
  • Collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives, fostering a collaborative and inclusive academic environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Engaging in service activities that benefit the department, university, and community, making a positive contribution to the society we serve.
  • Upholding the academic and ethical standards of ULSA, promoting a culture of integrity and excellence in teaching, research, and service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ph.D., M.D., or other terminal degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and service, as evidenced by a record of accomplishments, such as teaching evaluations, publications, grants, and awards.
  • Strong expertise and scholarly accomplishments in their field of expertise, as applicable to the department's requirements and expectations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas to diverse audiences, both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and other stakeholders in a collegial and inclusive manner.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service activities.
  • Ability to engage in interdisciplinary and collaborative research and teaching initiatives, as applicable to the department's goals and priorities.
