INFORMATION:
 
The Office of Student Affairs at the University of Los Santos, San Andreas (ULSA) plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant and supportive campus community. As part of the Chancellor's Cabinet, the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs leads the department, overseeing the Dean of Students and the Dean of Health. These sub-departments, Student Life, and Student Health, are responsible for providing comprehensive support services to enhance students' overall well-being and academic success. The Vice Chancellor collaborates closely with university leadership, including the Chancellor, Provost, and other Vice Chancellors, to promote student engagement, health, and safety.

As the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs at ULSA, you will spearhead efforts to cultivate a dynamic and inclusive campus environment that promotes student development and success.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide visionary leadership for the Office of Student Affairs, setting strategic goals and initiatives aligned with the university's mission and values.
  • Direct and oversee the operations of the Dean of Students and the Dean of Health, ensuring effective management of Student Life and Student Health sub-departments.
  • Enhance and expand support services to meet the diverse needs of students, including counseling, career development, housing, and disability services.
  • Promote opportunities for student involvement and leadership through clubs, organizations, and campus events, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
  • Develop and implement crisis response protocols to address emergencies and support students during challenging situations, collaborating with campus partners as needed.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, faculty, and staff to advocate for student needs and interests, championing initiatives to enhance the student experience.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to assess student needs and outcomes, evaluating the effectiveness of programs and services to inform continuous improvement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
[*]Advanced degree in Administration, Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, Education, or similar;
[*]Strong understanding of student development theory, multicultural competence, and best practices in student support services.
[*]Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, and administrators.
[*]Demonstrated experience in crisis management, including the ability to respond effectively to emergencies and support student well-being.
[*]Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of student affairs programming and services.
[*]Knowledge of relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing student affairs in higher education.
[*]Strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a track record of implementing innovative initiatives to enhance the student experience.
