INFORMATION:
 
The Office of Student Affairs at the University of Los Santos, San Andreas (ULSA) is dedicated to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for our students. Student Affairs plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall student experience by providing comprehensive support services. It consists of two sub-departments, both integral to student well-being: Student Life and Student Health. The Dean of Students oversees Student Life, focusing on non-academic support, while Student Health, under the guidance of the Dean of Health, ensures health-related support for our student body. The Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs oversees the entire Office, ensuring a holistic approach to student support.

As a Nurse within the Office of Student Affairs (Student Health), we are seeking an individual who is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of our student community. You will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services, assessing and treating medical issues, administering immunizations, and offering health education. This role requires a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional who can contribute to a healthy and thriving campus environment.

As a Counselor within the Office of Student Affairs (Student Health), we are looking for an empathetic and qualified professional who can provide essential support to students facing personal, academic, and emotional challenges. You will offer guidance on career development, academic planning, and personal growth, and facilitate workshops that promote mental health and well-being. This role requires a strong communicator and an individual who can maintain strict confidentiality while fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for our diverse student population.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • NURSE
    • Provide primary healthcare services to students, including assessment, treatment, and referral as needed.
    • Administer immunizations, medications, and first aid as necessary.
    • Promote health education and preventive care through workshops and outreach programs.
    • Maintain accurate medical records and comply with all relevant healthcare regulations.
    • Collaborate with campus health professionals to ensure the well-being of students.
    • Conduct drug tests for student athletes participating in D1 sports to ensure compliance with athletic department policies and NCAA regulations.
  • COUNSELOR
    • Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with personal, academic, and emotional challenges.
    • Offer guidance on career development, academic planning, and personal growth.
    • Develop and facilitate workshops and programs that promote student well-being and mental health.
    • Collaborate with campus resources to ensure a holistic support network for students.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in counseling practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • NURSE
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree.
    • Current state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Experience in a clinical or school nursing setting is preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to promoting student health.
  • COUNSELOR
    • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
    • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
    • State licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or relevant counseling licensure.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Empathy, compassion, and an understanding of diverse student populations.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
